Philosopher Mom: Automotive Diva Award

I just finished reading The Philosopher-Mom's post entitled, "In Which I Have to Jump-Start Not One but Two Cars. I am so impressed by her ability to do this that I felt compelled to give that woman an award. Couldn't find one, so I made this one up.

YOU GO KALYNNE! You give automotive ditzes like me hope.

If you know a woman who isn't afraid to pop the hood and dive in, please feel free to pass this along.

Peace, Blessings, and Pass the wrenchy thingy.

FLUBS, FLATTERY, & FOLLOW-UPS

You know you are getting older when...

You don't remember being absentminded.

Two very WONDERFUL bloggers have given me awards in the past several months, neither of which I've remembered to post and pass on until now. Well, that's not entirely accurate. I remembered the awards VERY often. What I couldn't remember was to post the little darlin's. But then again, I haven't remembered to post anything lately. Seems my get up and go has got up and went!

Rita (my friend with the dogs who needed new homes) ... I wonder how Will is doing these days. I really need to remember to ask her... says I'm the original short attention span theater lately. We'll be in the middle of a conversation and ... OH!! hey look! There's a gecko on the window! ... oh ummm Sorry... and I get distracted by the least little ... dang! I really should dust my coke bottles.

SEE WHAT I MEAN????

Really! I didn't make up a single syllable of that! It is exactly how my mind has been working lately! So, given the fact that my recent inability to gitterdone has effected not only the accomplishment of tasks, but has also drastically reduced the speed with which they don't get accomplished, I've come up with a brand new award just for me... (and for anybody else you feel needs to be snail slimed into remembering to post an award you already gave 'em!)

Now that I'm thinking about it (and I better think quick or the thought'll be gone!), I should have made that the Ungrateful Old Witch award.

OK - enough self-flagellation ... ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!

These two awards are created by Mamarazzi at Dandelion Wishes so she could pass on the love! She passed 'em to Debbie Yost at Three Weddings. Debbie was kind enough to pass them to me.

Hmmmm... Who to pass them on to??? I have so many wonderful people who read me and whom I read that this is a REEEEEALY tough choice. (Partially because I HATE for people to think I didn't choose them because I didn't like 'em!) But here goes...

Mr. Froggy goes to:
Brandi at O. W. IN G. S.
Dragonstar
AZ Mom
Tammy
Lisa - Rollin' with the punches

It's almost 3 a.m. I'm tired. My plan was to put in links to everyone of the wonderful people who faithfully show up here and read my sporadic blatherings, but I'm too tired. So, if you regularly leave comments you know who you are and you DESERVE THIS AWARD! LOL! If not, get busy and start leaving more comments and then you, too, will deserve it! LOL!

Puffy goes to:
Lucille at Who's Going to Tell You ...

I'll be back later to finish getting the names in here... If I can remember not to forget about it!

Kalynne, The Philosopher-Mom, God love her sweet soul, thinks I'm unique. That, to me, is huge praise. At this particular moment, though, I'm uniquely exhausted and so I'm going to take the gutless wonder way out and promise to come back in a day or so and get the forwards done on these.

Distinctive and Blingy Awards

It's great being blonde - with such low expectations it's easy to impress. Pamela Anderson

I guess we need to raise the bar or something, because I’ve been honored with a couple of really wonderful awards:

This was given to me by Debby Yost over at THREE WEDDINGS or Die Trying.

It was created by Working Mum On The Verge to honor blogs that make you, "think, laugh, cry or sigh." The only rule is you should pass it to another 5 blogs. This will be difficult since so many blogs I read fall into this category. I will pass it on to:

Jill at Thou Shalt Not Whine because I cannot go there before I take a potty break or without a box of tissues because I know I’ll be laughing so hard I’m leaking from one end or the other OR BOTH before I leave!

Jules at Just Because because I’m touched not only by her words but by her wonderful photographs.

Jennifer at Siguiendo Mi Catracho because any woman who is brave enough and strong enough to move her 7 children all the way to Honduras to be with her husband and to try to make life better for the children there, and who can maintain her sense of humor in the process, has my undying respect and admiration.

Angela at angelawd because she is smart, funny, talented, loving and strong.

Kalynne at The Philosopher-Mom because anybody who can stay sane while raising 9 kids and wrangling 135 students AND be hilarious in the process is one amazing chick!

This tiara is what Angie over at Keep Believing called BLING. Nobody but Hubby ever gave me BLING before! Thanks, Angie, I’ll wear it with pride.

There are a couple of others that I can see wearing these crown jewels, too.

Lisa over at Rollin’ With The Punches does this mommy thing the hard way: From a wheelchair. Her 6 wild injuns insaniacs angels are really cute, too.

And, in my traditionally non-traditional way of doing things, I’m awarding this to Mylhibug – the DADDY blogger over at Bug Tries Again just because I get a kick out of his wit and willingness to be silly. And any man who can hold his own in the mommy blogverse deserves a crown!

Thank you, Debbie and Angie. I am so honored that you deem me worthy of your praise.

Peace, Blessings, and Honor to you all.

Spreader of Love Award

I GOT ANOTHER AWARD!! My Blissy (blog sissy), Lucille gave it to me. And it couldn't have come on a better day. I'm just sorry I've been in such a sluggy mood that it took me almost week to get it posted! In keeping with my own version of award tradition, I'm going to pass this on two others who consistently share their love in action through their blogs.

Kalynne over at The Philosopher-Mom

Brandi over at O.W.IN G.S

Love to all who visit here. You make my days brighter by your presence.

AWARDS I'VE GIVEN - 2008

HI!! If you've already seen these awards that I've bestowed on those I feel need a little extra praise and support, please excuse the duplication. I was trying something that failed miserably. It was way more confusing in cyberspace than it was in my obviously minimally functional brainspace.

If you haven't seen them, come on in and browse a while and then please go check out the two blogs listed below.

From now on I'll just post award notices as normal on the day I decide to bestow them. Again - sorry for the confusion.

Allison over at A Mom Thing has been courageously standing by H for many months now as he battled leukemia. She has stood strong for her children and her husband, and maintained her sanity partially through getting it all out and onto "paper" in her blog. And she did it with very little support from the blogging community. That, alone, impresses me greatly. If I didn't have a pretty steady stream of people encouraging me, I think I'd have quit after the first month or so. Allison didn't quit, because that's not who she is. When she makes a commitment, she honors it. I'm so glad to have found her blog and honored to have been "there" when her family was reunited upon H's release from the hospi-hotel, as she calls it, on Monday, 1/11. So, Allison, this LOVE IN ACTION award is made especially for you. You are an amazing example to your children and to all who are lucky enough to find your blog.

THE FIRST AWARD I'M GIVING IS TO:

Heather over at Three Boys and Me for overcoming her fear of spiders in order to get the job done! WAY TO GO HEATHER! You are the first to ever receive the No Miss Muffett Award. Why don't you pop on over there now and see why she got this award.
