Rest with The Father, Bryson Drago Ross

Bryson, the son of Shellie Ross aka Military_Mom on Twitter, died today after a tragic accident. He was only two years old. Please take a moment to offer a prayer for the Ross family and if you have time, go post your condolences on her Twitpic tribute to Bryson or leave her a comment on her Blog 4 Mom page.

Hold on 'till Tomorrow
There are no words to ease the pain.
Nor enough tears to wash the sorrow.
There is only the knowledge that you are loved,
so hang on 'til tomorrow.
For in the morning all things are made new
and though your babe is gone,
the love you shared will carry you through.
So hold on till the dawn.
The night time comes to steal your peace
with the deafening quiet it brings.
But close your ears and open your heart
because that's where His voice sings
So rest your weary mind tonight;
Know that your son rests well
With the Father of all who knows the pain;
Whose teardrops also fell.
No, there are no words that can ease the pain.
Nor tears to wash the sorrow.
There is only the knowledge that you are loved.
And you WILL see him tomorrow.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR Keep Believing

Angie's family is in need of prayers. Brian has Stage IV brain cancer and, unless God performs one of his miracles, may not live to see the new year. I have spent the last year being completely amazed by the love, strength, and courage of this family.

I am asking that you help those of us who are so touched by this family cover them in a world-wide blanket of love and prayer. Please take a moment to pop over to Keep Believing and let her know that you are joining the world in prayer for her family. Then take another moment to pass this request on to everyone you know. If you have a blog, please post this prayer request there.

This is not one of those "if you love Jesus" kind of requests. I have my beliefs and I honor yours, whatever they may be. I only ask that you pray to whatever higher power you believe in. No matter what religion or faith we espouse to, we all know that the god in which we believe can do miracles. And this family needs one. Now.

Note: If you would like to receive this post as an email that you can forward, email me and I'll send it to you. You can also click the little yellow envelope at the bottom of this post to open an email form and send it to yourself. However you need to do it, just DO IT NOW, please. This family has no time to waste.

Peace, Blessings and, as Angie always says, KEEP BELIEVING!

PRAYER REQUEST: Almost too much to bear

A very dear friend lost her baby to miscarriage this morning. This afternoon, while she was at the doctor having the loss confirmed, she received a phone call that her mother had suffered a massive coronary. She did not survive.

Please pray for my friend. She is in more pain tonight than anyone should have to endure all at once.

Thank you,

Peace, Blessings, and love to all.

Prayers Answered with a Miracle!

I wanted to share this update with you all. It's kind of like another Easter miracle. Here is the latest word from Crystal.

*****************************

Thank you to all of you who sent me letters or kept baby Chris in your thoughts and prayers. Your responses really helped my family during a difficult time.

I have some good news: the initial diagnosis was incorrect. It was NOT in fact Kawasaki disease, but a REALLY bad Sinus-itus infection with mimic-symptoms of Kawasaki. Currently, Chris seems to have his coloring back and is perking up again. No more sick-looking baby! He should be back up to crawling over everything in no time!

Once again, thanks for the quick response of so many of you. My family feels very touched and blessed indeed. Your love and concern for a baby gave us much needed encouragement and strength.

Love,
Crystal Thurber

And thank you all from me, too. I wonder if this little guy will ever know how truly blessed he has been to have had people from literally all over the world praying for his recovery. Isn't it wonderful when we get to see prayers answered in such concrete ways.

Love to all!

PRAYER REQUEST: 10-Month-Old Baby

I received this from a friend of Bug's. Please join me in lifting this baby up in prayer.

*************************

Please, please, please, I need all thoughts, prayers, good thoughts, and vibes for my 10-month old nephew, Christopher Michael Collins (Chris). He has been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_disease). The basic rundown: symptoms include a several-day fever, red eyes, leading to Pink Eye, leading to Kawasaki. Chris was treated for the other symptoms when they developed, but apparently just one illness lead to another. Basicly, my nephew is at apprx. day 9 of initial onset, and by day 10, babies MUST be treated. If not treated he could develop an aneurysm and die of a heart attack. He has been transported to Fairfax Hospital (Fairfax, VA) where they have specialists who have seen this before. He is currently on an IV drip, and getting treated, but he still could go either way. My mother, a 30-year RN, was so scared we could lose Chris, that she gave him an emergency Baptism (nurses are trained for this in desperate cases.) I apologize that some of you will receive this more than once, but I wanted to be sure that no matter what list or email you check first, you would receive this message. Please, I beg of you, repost this on your live journals, message boards, and email lists. I don't particularly care who you make your prayers to, provided they are for good.

Sincerely,
Crystal Thurber,
Knowne in the SCA as Lady Palfi Jozsa

Thank you all for your prayers!

EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST

When a blog entry that starts out

How does this happen?
My nephew is 5 months old and just got out of the hospital with a broken pelvis, broken ribs, a broken arm and a broken hand. FIVE MONTHS OLD!!

it does a pretty good job of grabbing my full attention. If you want to read the whole thing, pop on over to Susan's and check it out. The short of it is that her nephew has been horrible abused and the state of Kentucky is giving him back to the apparently very unreliable family of his abuser - HIS OWN MOTHER! - instead of to Susan's sister who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker! The whole story is so unreal!

Please pray for his safety and protection. While we never know the whole story, this one sounds pretty cut and dried. I'm afraid I'm one of those radicals that believes that, especially in cases like this one, the abusive parents should have to suffer whatever the child suffered - AND WORSE!

Thanks for your prayers.
