And the dream is over...

We just got home from picking the girl up. She's been dismissed from the program. What happens next is a crap shoot. I'll be surprised if the judge doesn't throw her back in lockup. There is a part of me that thinks it would make my life easier, but the mother in me is aching for the loss of the dream of Seaborn being the key to her finally getting her head together enough to have a chance at succeeding in life. I'm afraid that may never happen. And it scares me to death.

The next few days are going to be rough. If I'm not around it's not because I don't want to be.

Peace and blessings to all who I know will have us in their prayers.

  1. We miss you already, but take it easy, get everything worked out, and, we will all still be here when you get a chance to tell us how its going.
Life with kids really sucks sometimes, esp. when those kids come from a broken life, and we have to try to pick up the pieces and put it all back together again.

Succeeding in life can happen. I know from looking at my brother, and all that he has done and been through. I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers. I am not a parent to an older child, but from seeing my moms struggle with my one brother, I know how much it can hurt. As for you thinking it would make your life easier, that isnt bad, its honest. But even more so is sometimes some people need that to change. I hope that you find the strength to get through these next few days.

  5. I read your post. I read the comments. I just didn't know what to say. But I was sitting here looking at your picture on your side bar pondering your situation. While looking at you, my eyes followed down to "life taught me long ago that the best rewards are the hardest lessons." I pray that now for you and your daughter. Love you bunches. You are on my mind and in my heart. Margie

  7. The dream is not over and hope is never truly gone. But sometimes it has to retreat into a corner, curl into a fetal position, and lick its wounds.

We will be here waiting for you.
