Earlier this year I decided to switch our car insurance to Progressive. I'm so glad I did! I love their online account management tools. I love their rates. I love their customer service people.
Now, you know that I normally rant on the bad customer service I receive. Honestly, though, I cannot find anything to complain about here! No, I'm not getting paid to do this. I just thought you might like to know that I don't always just complain. I also thought that, if you're looking for new coverage that I'd recommend these folks. Besides, That Betty Boop-ity gal is just too cute.
I've been with Allstate for 18 years and I've been pleased with them, too. Last year, due to his financial difficulties I had to put my youngest son back on my policy and it raised my rates quite a bit. Back this summer, his car went kerplunk for about the 100th time and I decided I wasn't going to keep putting money into it so we got him a another car. Believe this or not, but it is true, we kept the old car on the insurance and with three cars on the insurance and my premium went DOWN nearly $50.00 a month. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I recently switched from MetLife to Progressive. Allstate was too high to even consider. I'm so glad I switched. It saved me a lot of money and they are easier to contact.
ReplyDeleteMargie - I'm glad YOU have had a good experience with Allstate. You couldn't GIVE me a policy with them because of the way they treated a friend. I won't go into great detail, but she got ROYALLY screwed over after having been with them for over 20 years. Never had a ticket, never had a wreck until someone broadsided her in a parking lot. She was in her late 50s. The paid the claim and dropped her. Well, I guess I did go into some detail.. sorry. Just please be careful dealing with 'em.

Thanks for the article, I've been enjoying your rants but some praise was also a welcome change of pace. It's interesting that you mentioned progressive. I don't love the over-cheerful Betty Boop girl but I don't mind her if my TV is on mute. Progressive has been selling insurance online, which is a great convenience. Other companies have followed and now you can even buy boat insurance online.
