Hi, gang. I just had to jump in here really fast to tell you that I'm going to be AWOL for a while. Maybe two or three days depending on how long it takes me to complete my forced march through military school preparation hell.
No, I'M not going to military school, Daughter is. She goes on Sunday and, in my usual efficient fashion, have just realized that I ONLY HAVE A WEEK TO FINISH GETTING ALL HER STUFF TOGETHER!!!
AND I CAN'T FIND HER TEXAS I.D. CARD. It was in her wallet. The last time she saw her wallet was the day she was arrested back in October. If I can't find her wallet with the I.D., the academy won't accept her! AAACK!
PRAY FOR ME, EVERYBODY. PLEASE PRAY FOR MY SANITY.
OK. I'm better now. Just needed to yell and scream and run madly around the room flailing my arms and pulling my hair for a minute. Now I'm taking a deep breath and trusting God and all your good wishes and prayers to get me through this.
Love ya. See ya soon.
You can do it, Damama! Find that card! Seriously, find it quick because I can't cope with you not being around all week.
ReplyDeleteThings will go right, honest. See you again when you get time to relax.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you this week. I imagine you'll be dealing with a boatload of emotions and stresses. Don't forget to take a break here and there.
ReplyDeleteIs there a chance she had her wallet with her?
I hope you find her I.D.
I'll miss you while you're "gone".
Good luck! I hope all goes well and this actually helps her. I'm sure you will find the card. I will pray for you.

Good luck!! See you when you get back!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Good luck to her (and you).
ReplyDeleteGOOD LUCK! Here it's already March and I thought it was only January...time flies. Did you look for the wallet in the lint liner of the laundry? just a thought...Allison
ReplyDeleteGood Luck to you and your girl!!

You go, Damama! Our 14-year old son is at Military Boarding School, and it is quite possibly the best educational decision I've ever been party to in my life -- and including the one to get a Ph.D. at Mr. Jefferson's Academical Village.
ReplyDeleteHe went from a miserable, motivationally challenged, chronically disorganized boy to an honor-roll, responsible, stand-up-straight-and-look-'em-in-the-eye, self-confident young man.
I'm still trying to figure out how to blog about the experience (it's slated as "When It Comes to Education, There's No Place Like Home...Unless It's a Military Boarding School, Part IV") that does it justice without being preachy.
I will pray you and your daughter find it every bit as positive.
Oh.my.word. Check with the center in which she is housed, they probably have her wallet locked up with her possessions. I just pray they will let you access it. Keep us posted. Praying for you. Love ya

YOu can do it, you can do it! Remember, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
ReplyDeletePrayers from me.
ReplyDeleteAnxiously awaiting YOUR return! Now I know how you felt when I was MIA!
ReplyDeleteFill us in when you get back and hey - thanks for the thoughts on the blogging etiquette on my page.
Always,
Blissy
You have my prayers. I hope you can get eveything together and the ID is found, and above all else, KEEP BREATHING. :)

ReplyDeleteSending best wishes and prayers your way - good luck! All will be well, just a little crazy for a while.
